4Refuel Completes Disaster Response

As conditions continue to improve across the state of Florida, 4Refuel crews are beginning to return home to Texas as the need for emergency fuel fulfilment decreases.

Following the landfall of Hurricane Irma on September 5, 4Refuel sent available equipment and crews from Dallas to various locations across Florida including Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.

During this time, 4Refuel provided 24/7 fuel supply to emergency services in support of their rescue work and filled emergency generators at facilities including seniors residences and hospitals.

Before their departure to Florida, 4Refuel teams had already been supporting emergency relief efforts in Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall August 25. 4Refuel  provided fuel supply to emergency responders in Houston and Corpus Christi and additionally to the United States Marines in Galveston.

“Without fuel, first responders are unable to provide the critical rescue services on which we depend. We are proud to have been able to assist these brave men and women perform their duties and equally proud to support the many Americans that found themselves in distress,” said Larry Rodo, 4Refuel President and CEO.

“I commend our team for their tireless efforts during this trying time.”

“As the situation stabilizes and disaster recovery efforts wind down, we look forward to supporting the next phase, which is rebuilding,” said Jared Prentiss, V.P. 4Refuel U.S.

“We have seen first-hand the devastation caused by these catastrophic storms and know that the rebuilding process will take months, if not years, and are fully committed to supporting it.”

According to initial estimates, Hurricanes Harvey and Irma caused cumulative damage worth over $300 billion, destroying homes, buildings and other pieces of critical infrastructure.
