4Refuel Announces the Acquistion of HiWay Fuel Services Ltd.

4Refuel is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hiway Fuel Services Ltd., effective July 1, 2022. Based in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Hiway has been delivering dependable on‑site refuelling and fuel management services across Western Canada since 2005. Prior to that, the company established a solid foundation of expertise that has long supported clients across the construction, railway, transportation, and marine sectors.

This acquisition represents an important step forward in enhancing the level of service, support, and reliability we deliver to our customers every day. By integrating Hiway’s strong capabilities with 4Refuel’s national network, we are better positioned to deliver a more seamless, comprehensive, and reliable end‑to‑end fuel management and delivery solution that supports our customers’ evolving needs.

The integration of Hiway’s operations significantly expands 4Refuel’s regional footprint, strengthening our ability to serve customers across British Columbia’s Lower Mainland, Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg. This acquisition also broadens our access to high‑demand fuel products—including clear, dyed, and winter diesel—allowing us to support a wider range of customer requirements year‑round with improved supply reliability and regional coverage. We look forward to leveraging this expanded network to deliver even greater value, efficiency, and consistency to the industries we serve.

Lifecycle GHG emissions refer to the emissions that occur during each stage of the fuel’s lifecycle, including but not limited to the production, transportation and end-use of the fuel. Any emissions values referenced are based on carbon intensity (gCO2e/MJ) figures provided by 4Refuel Suppliers for each low carbon fuel type and are subject to change. The GHG emissions reductions are calculated by comparing the Carbon Intensity of the lower carbon fuels blends sold to the baseline Carbon Intensity of conventional diesel of 93 gCO2 e/MJ (as published in Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations).
