4Refuel Opens Doors for Take Our Kids to Work Day

4Refuel is excited to open its doors to high school students for Take Our Kids to Work Day 2017 on Wednesday, November 1.

As part of our commitment to learning and education, 4Refuel is pleased to partake in this important initiative and showcase a wide range of future employment opportunities to Canadian youth.

Grade 9 students will spend the day visiting corporate Head Office, as well as an operations centre, to get a first-hand look at the full range of career options within the organization.

“We are pleased to welcome the next generation of the Canadian workforce,” said Larry Rodo, 4Refuel President & CEO.

“We hope to help these students gain a better understanding of career options available to them, both right here at 4Refuel, and elsewhere. Further, it is our hope that they develop a great appreciation for the valuable work their families do through fuel distribution to help keep the economy moving.”

A full day of activities has been planned to give an in-depth look at each area of the business.

Students will have the chance to experience corporate careers including finance, dispatch, Human Resources and IT to a range of operational positions from our Certified Refuelling Professionals to Operations Supervisors.

They will learn about careers through guest speakers who will highlight their roles, required education, and personal career paths.

“Our goal is for students to learn about career opportunities which exist for them and to walk away with some knowledge to consider when learning about their own interests,” said Lynne Harkness, 4Refuel Human Resources Director.

“We are excited to play a role in the development of young Canadians.”

4Refuel is North America’s largest on-site fuelling provider and proudly employs over 500 staff across Canada and in the United States.
