I'm writing to offer Premier Gordon Campbell's and my sincere gratitude for your help during the Highway 97 closure late last year.
The closer was a tremendous engineering and logistical challenge, and my ministry was aided by man individuals, businesses and agencies who provided invaluable services and resouces as we worked to get the highway open to traffic and provide transportation alternatives in the interim. I understand you provided fuel for the water taxi. Your quick response to our request contributed a great deal to the delivery of the water taxi service.
Thank you once more for your valuable contribution. Your assistance was greatly appreciated.

You’re paying more for fuel than you think
...but it has nothing to do with the price at the pump. It comes from how you get your fuel.
Save on your fuel costs with Fuel Management solutions.
The way of getting fuel hasn’t changed in decades – it’s just become more expensive. The problem is that distribution has never improved. As oil exploration and refining have advanced with technology, downstream services for fuel users have not. The result is a True Cost of Fuel that is higher than you expect.
Not surprisingly, the high costs of these inefficiencies are borne by you, the fuel user. But it’s hidden in labour, overhead and high rates of fuel waste and theft which you pay for but have typically gone unnoticed. Until now.
A total fuel management system gives you control. It enables you to
- track fuel costs in real time
- manage fuel consumption by unit
- improve operational efficiency
- curb fuel waste and
- eliminate fuel theft
Can you afford not to save on your fuel costs?
Fuel is the highest operating expense after labour for many construction and transport businesses. But unlike other major costs such as equipment and labour which are closely managed, fuel rarely is.
